Singapore grindcore trio WORMROT are preparing for their return to Europe in less a week, kicking off a UK trek on September 1st in Cardiff and moving onto mainland Europe on September 12th. WORMROT will be joined by EVISORAX for all of the UK dates and MARUTA for the rest of the European tour.

Italy’s fast rising melodic death folk metal band KRAMPUS have just released their highly anticipated follow up to Shadows of Our Time in the form a killer three song EP titled Kronos’ Heritage. The band is coming off a summer full of European Festivals and are looking to make waves again with this new release.
KRAMPUS is at the forefront of the fast emerging folk metal scene and are a force to be reckoned with. As with all of KRAMPUS's music, the band has a powerful message behind the lyrics as they deal with the ever changing state of humanity, nature, and social issues. As clearly seen in the lyrics, the band is adamant about making their fans aware of the current state of the world and bringing to light the need for change and for humanity to take responsibility for itself as the world heads into darker times. A year after the release of “Brand New World”, it's time for the 6th Grand Illusion studio album and which this time is titled, Prince of Paupers.
On this release, the Grand Illusion core trio consists of Anders Rydholm, Peter Sundell and Per Svensson who are joined by Steve Lukather (Toto), Jay Graydon (Airplay), Tim Pierce (Rick Springfield), Gregg Bissonette (David Lee Roth), Paul Buckmaster (Elton John & David Bowie), Muris Varajic, Kjell Klaesson and Staffan Stavert.
The songs for the new album, were as usual, written and produced by Anders Rydholm and most of the lyrics were penned by Arlene Matza-Jackson.
Grand Illusion started 25 years ago in 1986 under the name Promotion and released 2 albums 1997 and 1998. In 2001, the band changed their name to Grand illusion and started a more active record carrier - and during a period of 3 years, they released 4 albums. In 2005 the band took a time out and reunited 5 years later with the release of the 2010 album, “Brand New World”. Now it's 2011 and 25 years since Anders, Peter and Per have started to play together - so what could be better than to celebrate that with the release of PRINCE OF PAUPERS?

Grand Design was formed in 2006 by vocalist/producer Pelle Saether, Peter Ledin (guitars) & Richard Holmgren (drums). In the following years, the guys worked hard on capturing that big 80’s sound and songs. Grand Design’s 1st album “Time Elevation” was completed in early 2009, during the recordings Anders Modd (bass) & Dennis Vestman (git) completed the line-up. The release gained massive success and was awarded ‘best album’ and ‘best song’ by BeRockRadio and received numerous top 10 positions for “best album 2009”. Several concerts including the prestigious FireFest in Nottingham, U.K proved that Grand Design can deliver live. Pelle Saether comments: ”Since we all love Def Leppard, it will always be an influence we use to spice up things.”
Now, two years later, it’s time for Grand Design’s second album #2 – “Idolizer”. The recording process was handled similar to the first album, the line-up is intact and the sound and songs are in the same style. Pelle says: “We knew we had found a formula to make an 80’s rock record work in the 21st century – so why change it?” The record contains 10 songs and contains everything from fast pace rock tracks to slow love ballads. All having a larger than life production, and on top, the famous Grand Design big choirs.
With songs like “Get On With Action”, “OughtoGraugh” and “Your Love’s A Runaway”, “Idolizer” is gonna be the follow up the fans expect. Grand Design will prove again that the songs and sound of 80’s rock belongs into your players and onto the big stages.

> CONTINENTS ANNOUNCE VIDEO FOR DEBUT SINGLE ‘TRIALS’
CONTINENTS are set to release their first full length music video for debut single, TRIALS. Released on 23 August, the track is an aggressive anthem that shows the band’s raw, unrelenting side.
The video, which was filmed in a live setting, only adds to the fury and chaos that is unleashed at their shows.
Tom Weaver [guitar/vocals] says: “At its core, ‘Trials’ is about the day to day struggle we all face with people who try to suppress our dreams and aspirations. All of us have been in bands long enough to know that there are always going to be people who will hold you back or put you down, and this song is a big “fuck you” to them. It’s saying that we’ve taken the negativity and doubt and used it to better ourselves, to give us a foundation to build ourselves up on."
CONTINENTS teamed up with well-respected producer Chuck Creese (Evita, Martyr Defiled, Heart In Hand, Bury The Archive) to create their most momentous piece of work to date. ‘Trials’ confirms the reasoning behind band's outstanding position within the UK heavy music community and will only elevate them to greater and louder heights.

> GAMA BOMB ANNOUNCES FINAL 'TALES FROM THE GRAVE IN SPACE' EUROPEAN TOUR
Irish thrashers GAMA BOMB have confirmed a final European tour in support of their most recent album, TALES FROM THE GRAVE IN SPACE, before the band returns to working on their as-yet untitled new album.
The tour is set to kick off in early October with support from UK thrashers SWORN AMONGST.
GAMA BOMB frontman PHILLY BYRNE comments: "We've said it a few times in the past, but this time we really mean it: our European tour this October is going to be our final farewell to Tales from the Grave in Space, the album we've been touring for the last two years. In that time we've done a lot of new things and had some amazing adventures as a band, so we're hoping to say goodnight to the album with the help of the European fans who've been supporting us since our first shows on the continent four years ago. We'll see you there for a beer."
